„Ozapft is“ – this is the traditional opening slogan from the “Wiesn” in Munich, the biggest fair in the world. Since yesterday this slogan is considered to be truth for the village Peguera on the southwest coast of Majorca because there the mallorquine version of this festival has been opened. From 8th till 20th of October Peguera is getting typical Bavarian. Everyone who missed the Oktoberfest in Munich gets its money’s worth there: beside the beer hall, the staff and the beer also a traditional band was imported. Just nearby the beach you can get the real feeling of Oktoberfest. Those who own a Majorca property in this area might even prefer the mallorquine edition because it is not that crowded like the German one. but nevertheless you should go there not to late to get a good position. The Oktoberfest which is organized by the community of Calvia opens daily from 11 am till 12 pm. Afterwards you can spent the remains of the night in one of the bars or discotheques or you go on your way home to you own Majorca property and enjoy the comfortable night temperatures from your own terrace.
