Tapas exhibition attracted almost 50.000 visitors

The tapas exhibition „Ta Palma“ has taken place in Palma de Mallorca this weekend for the fifth time already. Some property owners might have got the experience of this culinary event themselves. The exhibition that took place first in 2005 but was al lot smaller and located in “Pueblo Espagnol” attracted almost 50.000 visitors to the capital. On different routes through the city center one could taste the tapas which are part of the traditional Spanish kitchen. Over 13.000 pieces where sold in the part-taking restaurants. Each slice of baguette with creative toppings cost two Euros. The best creations got a prize at the end of the “Ta Palma”. The restaurant Ummo won the first prize, second was the restaurant “Forn de Sant Joan” and third was the restaurant “Santa Eulalia”. Those who just have begun to look for a Mallorca real estate must wait till the next year to enjoy this huge variety of tapas again. The other opportunity would be to choose one of the tapas-bars and enjoy the smaller but nevertheless great choice of popular tapas.
